INVENTORY

Create Inventory Manually

  • Select Inventory from the menu.
  • Click Create on the top right corner to create your inventory list
  • Fill in the Description (Recognisable name for your inventory item)
  • Fill in the Inventory Category Tab and select the relevant category 

( you have the option of to ADD a new category)

  • Fill in the Inventory Subcategory you may select the relevant subcategory 

( you have the option of to ADD a new subcategory)

  • A Category can have many subcategories
  • A subcategory can only have one category
  • Set a Stock Item Types for the Inventory. 

(This could  be a Product, Part or Service)

  • Fill in  the Warranty period 

( As per your business policy preferably in months)

  • You can leave the quantity as 0 (Zero)  

(This field is not tracked within ServCraft. If you have integrations then this field will be updated when the quantities are changed on your accounting software)

  • Select/add a Supplier for the inventory item. Suppliers added here are added to ServCraft as a supplier.
  • Fill in the Cost Price (This is used for Purchase Orders – Suppliers)
  • Fill in the List Price (This is used for Quotes/ Invoices – Customers)
  • Click Create Inventory to complete the process.

Welcome to the next lesson on how to set-up your ServCraft system for success!

In this lesson we will be learning how to create inventory items for your system. This means that you will be able to track what is being Worked On and what Items are being Used on the Job and create Quotes and Invoices.

For this example let’s create a Hikvision camera unit .

Let’s get Started!

  1. To create an Inventory item
  • Click on Create in the top right corne
  1. To create your own inventory number system
  • ONLY IF you have your own inventory number system, you may ADD it to the Account Code field, otherwise leave blank for ServCraft to create a unique code for you.
  1. Name your Inventory ( Describing your inventory)
  •  Under the heading Name you have the option to add /describe the NAME and MAKE of the item.
  1. Identifying / Defining Categories and Subcategories
  • For the purposes of this example We  will give  the name Hikvision under Category and camera under Subcategory.
  1. Identifying / Defining Stock
  • Select a stock type, for this example it will be one of the products, with a 12 month Warranty period.
  1. Identifying / Defining Inventory Quantity of stock
  • Quantity can be left as 0 and is tracked with integration if you have and not on ServCraft system.
  1. Cost Price
  • In the Cost Price We will add what was paid for 1 unit and this will reflect in the Purchase Orders you create with this item.
  1. List Price
  • The List Price is what we as the business are  going to charge customers for this item 
  • This will reflect in the quotes and invoices.
  1. Create
  • After We have filled in the information We want, We will click on 
  • Select Create to complete the process.
