HOW TO IMPORT CUSTOMERS INTO SERVCRAFT

One of the quickest ways to bring your customers into ServCraft is by importing them in an excel workbook. This is much faster than manually adding customers one-by-one.
Another fast way to bring in customers to ServCraft is by synchronising customers from Xero, QuickBooks or Sage Online. If you have customers in any of these online systems, to avoid creating duplicate customers it’s best to first switch on an integration and do a sync from them to bring those customers into ServCraft. In this guide we will show you how to import customers into ServCraft from an excel spreadsheet.
SUPPORTED COLUMN HEADERS
Note: Don’t remove any columns from the template, you can leave the non-required columns blank if it does not apply to you.
These are the fields that we can import via the spreadsheet. There are lots of fields but only some that might be relevant to you. Set up each of these fields as a column header to import data into these fields:
- CustomerCode (If you leave this blank, ServCraft will auto generate a code for you)
- Class ()

IMPORTING A CUSTOMER LIST
To import your Customer list, go into Customers, Customer List and in the top right corner, click the Import button. Then click the Choose File button.
Browse and select the file you want to import. Once selected click the Import File button.
IMPORTING MULTIPLE CONTACTS OR PROPERTIES FOR THE SAME CUSTOMER
To create multiple contacts or properties for a customer, add a new row in your spreadsheet for each contact or property you’d like to create for the customer. Each row for the customer should have the same customer details like customer code and customer name. To create another contact, change the fields such as first name, last name, mobile number, email address etc. To create another location, change the fields such as location description, address physical 1 etc. You can leave the other fields the same.
